Comfort Fit – Forget and Remember 2005

Released in 2005, Comfort Fit's Forget and Remember LP is a lay-back ride through elegant trip-hop and laxxed' out beats. One of the first albums I heard from Tokyo Dawn Records it instantly won my heart and piqued my interest in the label and everything that they’re about. Free to download and clocking in at a whopping 20 tracks, this is bandwidth well spent!

Summer is hands-down my favourite season. Negating the fact my apartment has no AC, I pretty much love everything about it. The seasonal-shift coming out of the colder months is easily the best part. The injection of vitamin D is cleansing. Everyone starts to smile, outside activities become the norm, beer gardens pack out, the beach becomes your home away from home and ice-cream becomes a food group.

With this in mind, I took up the task of putting together my offering for the Mahala Podcast series. Every piece of music I’ve included on the mix either makes me think of summer, is a tune I discovered during the warmer months, or is stuff that I feel benefits from being listened to in a sun-drenched setting.

Attempting to capture the allure of this beautifully sunny season was incredibly enjoyable and I really hope that it can illicit some similar feelings to those listening.

Thanks for having me onboard, Mahala! <3
